For more than four decades, Ron the Mod has lived at the crossroads of music, art, and mayhem. Emerging from the American underground in the early 1980s, when punk was raw, mod was sharp, and the lines between the two blurred in the back rooms of clubs, Ron carved out his place with a sketchbook in one hand and a martini in the other.

Part Andy Warhol with a Vespa, part Dean Martin with a vinyl collection, part Hunter S. Thompson on a sugar rush, Ron has spent a lifetime collecting stories, sounds, and flavors. He’s authored books on cocktails, cooking, and the subcultures that shaped him, always with an eye for the beautiful, the eccentric, and the unapologetically stylish.

From the driver’s seat of his classic Mini Cooper or vintage Vespa (fitted with enough mirrors to signal satellites), Ron is on a mission: to put Willimantic, Connecticut, on the map as a new hub for the Mod revival, a place where writers, artists, and musicians collide to create something bold, smart, and fun.

Standing tall with a gaze as sharp as her wardrobe, Mrs. Amelia is the quiet force that keeps The Mod Factory running at full tilt. Blonde, beautiful eyes, and effortlessly fashionable, she moves through the world like a mix of runway and rock stage, part punk provocateur, part cultural diplomat.

Since the mid-1980s, Amelia has been in Ron the Mod’s orbit, first as a fellow traveler in the underground punk scene, then as an artist in her own right, and now as his trusted agent and prime contact. If Ron is the face of the Factory, Amelia is the architecture: the one pulling the strings, making the calls, and ensuring every plan runs with both style and precision.

Her influence draws equally from Vivian Westwood’s fearless reinvention of fashion and Debbie Harry’s cool, magnetic stage presence. One moment she’s sketching out ideas over espresso, the next she’s closing a deal that will put the Factory in front of the right eyes.

Art supplies, mid-century furniture, a rare record, or an obscure prop for a photo shoot, Christy has an uncanny ability to track it down, charm it into her hands, and deliver it right when it’s needed.

Fun, talkative, and impossible to fluster, she’s equal parts treasure hunter and negotiator, moving through flea markets, estate sales, and backroom deals with the confidence of someone who knows she’ll win.
